The roundtable dialogue in the morning session was hosted by Yang Zhou, the chairman of the association, and three sharing guests, as well as Mr. Zhao Weimin, the general manager of supply chain and procurement in the Asia Pacific region of General Electric Renewable Energy, to explore the concept of "innovation leading to high-quality development" The five guests provided in-depth explanations from different industries, with both grand perspectives and close integration with the practice of our company. They had a profound interpretation of innovation leading to high-quality development, as well as insights into the future of the industry. The unique interpretation of the guests won warm applause from the attendees.

The afternoon topic has been a hot topic in recent years: digitization. Amidst various expectations from the audience, the first speaker, Li Xiaoyong, Vice President of Schneider Electric's Global Supply Chain in China, took the stage and gave a presentation on "lean digitization". Compared to simply discussing the process of digitization, Mr. Li starts with a few issues that need to be considered before digitizing. Are enterprises going to do lightweight digitization or heavyweight digitization? Is it carried out in stages? Is continuous improvement done while digitizing? Is it value-added service or value-added service? Obviously a skilled speaker, Mr. Li's several questions made the audience feel sleepy after lunch. Yes, before digitizing, positioning is very important. The entire speech starts with Schneider's global division and provides a roadmap for lean digitization, with both theory and practice. From the Wuhan Lighthouse Factory that illuminates the entire venue, to the Batam Factory and the Lexington Factory in the United States. Cases will always be the highlight of excellent operations speeches. However, the highlight of Mr. Li's speech is not only case studies, but also various insights from enterprise digitization: the combination of OT (operational technology) and IT; Digitalization itself is not intelligence; Digitization can be presented in a lightweight manner, and doing digitization can also be lean. On the contrary, the entire speech secretly answered the opening questions in simple and profound terms. The audience found it very enjoyable.

The second person to appear in the afternoon is Chen Lei, Senior Vice President and General Manager of R&D and Manufacturing Center of Centennial German company Phoenix Contact China. The theme shared is "The Road to Digital Lean Manufacturing of Centennial German company Phoenix Contact". Mr. Chen's sharing presented the audience with a true century old German enterprise's lean digital path. After 2008, the market drove changes and Phoenix embarked on a lean journey. The current spiritual theme of Phoenix Contact is that products rely on innovation and production relies on automation. Mr. Chen gave everyone an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Phoenix Contact. The most impressive thing is that Phoenix Contact's vision is to seize the historical opportunity of Digital transformation and lay the foundation for the next 100 years of the company! Indeed, both three-year and five-year plans are frequently heard. And almost everyone is hearing for the first time that a company is considering issues for the next 100 years. The following content provides a good explanation: Phoenix Contact does not go public, does not raise funds, and does not take out loans. The spirit of craftsmanship in Germany is clearly the soul of Phoenix's lean digitalization. The pragmatic style runs through the entire speech: digitalization of production is a means rather than an end; We focus on solving practical problems. In actual cases, the process from VSM to VSD is directly demonstrated. Including industry difficulties, the issue of switching products with multiple varieties and small batches is also among the cases. The successful case of SMED rapid replacement makes the audience feel full of goods.

The third person to appear is Ren Xiaoxia, Director of the Intelligent Factory and Intelligent Logistics Department of Bosch Internet Industry in China, sharing the theme of "Digital Upgrade - Bosch Industry 4.0 Practice Sharing". Mr. Ren came straight to the point and directly stated the goals of Industry 4.0: reducing setup time, maximizing productivity, improving quality, reducing capital expenditures, and increasing customer customization. How does Bosch manage over 700 warehouses worldwide? Numerous factories and warehouses require the integration of Industry 4.0. Mr. Ren introduced Bosch's dual strategy and its implementation path. The consulting services for Bosch Industry 4.0 have also been carried out. The cases introduced are also exciting and diverse. Intelligent gloves can analyze employees' operational movements, even know if they are starting to tire, remind them to rest, and achieve lean transparency. The tightening action usually takes about half a second, and digitizing this manually controlled operation can analyze what torque is appropriate. Intelligent maintenance can analyze and calculate whether it is cost-effective to maintain old equipment or purchase new equipment. For some large batches of spare parts, it can also be used as a pull. Some employees only need to receive and execute instructions on their smartwatches. Significantly reduced management costs, improved consistency brought about by standardization, and improved quality. Mr. Ren, who has high experience in automation, mentioned a thought-provoking conclusion: future factories not only rely on software, but also on people.

After the afternoon tea break and coffee break, Jiang Haibin, Vice President of Human Resources at Bosch Northeast Asia, introduced "HR Lean Digital Management" to everyone. After the humorous opening, Mr. Jiang revealed that the ultimate value of HR still needs to serve the business. Bosch began introducing the HR sharing center in 2013. In the field of HR, General Jiang's Tai Chi diagram, the analogy of the combination of Chinese and Western elements and the Eight Trigrams, vividly illustrates the relationship between HR's digital transformation and its ultimate value, as well as the key points of digital transformation. The application of lean related tools such as HOSHIN and A3 in the HR field undoubtedly brings highlights. The process of standardization implementation, sharing the twists and turns of the process, and ultimately achieving success, is full of realism and the spirit of "do it" that is highly respected by lean. Practice has brought about a transition from the use of tools to efficient implementation. Another highlight of Mr. Jiang's speech was to compare employees to customers and conduct an NPS survey to gain a deeper understanding of their needs and demands. At the same time, from recruitment to resignation, conduct a closed-loop analysis of the current situation of HRIT, with goals, plans, and progress on a point, line, and surface basis. Especially, we have overcome technical difficulties and achieved various approvals on the mobile end, achieving breakthroughs in specific fields.

After Mr. Jiang's introduction, the climax of the afternoon came: the round table dialogue on "Key Paths and Strategies for Digital Empowerment". The host is Mr. Gao Xiang, Quality Management Director of Siemens (China) Digital Industry Group. The conversation guests were four guests who shared in the afternoon: Mr. Li Xiaoyong, Mr. Chen Lei, Ms. Ren Xiaoxia, and Mr. Jiang Haibin. The guests discussed the key points, problems encountered, and solutions of the digital process in their respective fields. The world is very small, and the guests on stage are all mutual customers and suppliers, and even have some competitive relationships. On this forum, guests are all free to speak up, providing valuable experience for lean digitization in manufacturing and achieving Industry 4.0, and sharing various "on the road" insights.

Due to time constraints, I am still not fully satisfied. Amidst applause, the organizers and guests took a group photo, looking forward to meeting again next year!
