On October 17th, the 9th International Excellence in Operations Conference - Leadership Forum was grandly held at the Hilton Suzhou Hotel. The event was jointly organized by the International Excellence in Operations Association and the Suzhou Enterprise Excellence in Operations Association, organized by Suzhou Zhiyuan Yi Management Consulting Co., Ltd., Suzhou Zhiyuan Yi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., and the East China Branch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Electronics Fifth Institute, with the support of Oupu Lighting naming. More than 300 government leaders, corporate executives, industry leaders, and media reporters attended the grand event. This forum is not only a platform for leaders to communicate, but also a feast for ideas to collide and a glorious occasion for outstanding entrepreneurs!
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Yang Zhou, Executive Chairman of the International Excellent Operations Conference and Chairman of Zhiyuan Group, delivered a speech. Mr. Yang Zhou expressed his gratitude to old and new friends for their strong support to the forum. Since the International Conference on Excellence in Operations was held in 2010, it has been held annually to address everyone's concerns. This year, the theme of 'growth momentum in the VUCA environment' has been focused on, and we hope to use the forum format to inspire all attendees and return home with a full load.
Subsequently, Ms. Wang Yan, Deputy Director of the Suzhou Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, delivered a wonderful opening speech for this conference! Deputy Director Wang Yan expressed his expectations for this conference and hoped that everyone could listen attentively to the wonderful sharing of guests within the limited time. Next, we will enter the theme sharing section, where Mr. Xiao Dongmin, Vice President of Voith Asia Pacific, will share the theme of "The 'Mind' Model of Excellent Operational Change". Mr. Xiao Dongmin elaborated on the concept of 'impossible' through a video clip of 'Pearl Harbor': all impossible things are impossible in a specific mode, and solving impossible things requires jumping out of a specific mode. The unity of mind and mind, 'change comes from reading the mind, and development tends to converge.' Mr. Xiao believes that human talent should be fully utilized, and knowledge and abilities need to be constantly updated and iterated.
Mr. Martino David, President of Danieli China, brings a sharing of "Danieli's Lean Journey". Mr. Martino believes that talent is an inexhaustible driving force for the sustainable development of enterprises, and every employee, regardless of their position, should strive to do their best‘ Ensure that everyone who comes in does their best, rather than hiring the best people. Mr. Martino also pointed out that the future development of enterprises will gradually move towards digitization and artificial intelligence. The process of achieving point-to-point connections in various links of the supply chain is an important tool to improve the operational level of enterprises.
Regarding the topic of "Talent Training and Application in Group Enterprises", Mr. Wen Shuming, Executive Vice President of GCL Enterprise University, gave a detailed introduction to the implementation plan of GCL University's echelon talent training project. GCL University was founded in 2009 and has been committed to it for ten years. Adhering to the motto of 'being virtuous, studious, and diligent in thinking and acting', it aspires to become the Central Party School and Huangpu Military Academy of GCL. The practice of cultivating talent in the echelon of GCL University aims to systematically enhance leadership, professional abilities, and comprehensive literacy at different levels, providing a talent pool for the group's strategic transformation and sustainable development. Finally, Mr. Wen Shuming summarized that talent cultivation in echelons can achieve sustainable development of enterprises and truly achieve strategic implementation.
With the arrival of the mobile internet era, new technologies have penetrated into all aspects of our lives and work, and the competitive environment of enterprises has also entered a so-called VUCA era. At the forum, Mr. Nie Xudong, General Manager of Hengshun Vinegar Industry, gave a keynote speech on "Traditional Enterprise Development Governance in the VUCA Environment". Adhere to, inherit, and remain unchanged for a long time. We will inherit and promote the core values of Hengshun through various means, such as the inheritance of craftsmanship through the guidance of famous teachers and apprentices, the inheritance of quality without quality accidents in 179, and the cultural inheritance through the reconstruction of old workshops. Traditional enterprises have a long way to go in the future development, and Hengshun Vinegar Industry is changing with the trend, adhering to innovation and differentiation. After the guest sharing, a round table dialogue session was held. Under the leadership of Mr. Ding Wei, President of A.O. Smith China, Mr. Xiao Dongmin, Vice President of Voith Asia Pacific, Mr. Martino David, President of Danieli China, Mr. Qi Xiaoming, Chief Technical Officer of OPP Lighting R&D Center, and Mr. Wen Shuming, Executive Vice President of GCL Enterprise University, participated in the dialogue. The four guests focused on the theme of 'Ecosphere Construction in the VUCA Era', Sharing valuable cases of their respective enterprises' operation and development under the current economic situation, the audience applauded continuously, and the guests expressed their opinions and gave each other their full gifts. The atmosphere of the meeting was unprecedentedly high.

The banquet was also interspersed with the award ceremony of the 3rd Lean Skills Competition, which has attracted over 50 outstanding enterprises since its launch. After intense competition, the elite athletes ultimately stood out, and the competition set up the Best Popularity Award, Excellence Award, and First, Second, and Third Prizes.
