We responded to the national call to fight against the epidemic, starting from self isolation.

Work has stopped, outings have stopped, gatherings have stopped, and offline activities of the International Association for Excellence in Operations have also stopped. Looking at the busy figures of medical staff, I can only stay at home, like a cat's paw in my heart. Although I cannot go out, some clever friends have already fully utilized this time to recharge themselves, make up for personal shortcomings or further study knowledge reserves to prepare for tomorrow. On the occasion of the epidemic, The International Association for Excellence in Operations is quietly and closely preparing for a series of online public welfare activities.

The continuous spread of the epidemic has had a huge impact on the Chinese economy, while also putting operational pressure on a large number of enterprises. The International Association for Excellence in Operations, together with the most authoritative and outstanding teachers on the association's platform, has been launching online public lecture live broadcasts since February 15th. A total of four categories, namely "Excellent Operations", "Agile Supply Chain", "Employee Relationship Management", and "Quality Assurance", are set up, and the eight most popular themes are presented with great enthusiasm.

On the afternoon of February 15, 2020, the first live broadcast public welfare training lectures "Excellent Operations and Epidemic Management Practice" and "Lean Factory Planning and Internal Logistics Management" organized by the International Association for Excellence in Operations were officially held as scheduled; According to online statistics, 4986 relevant workers have signed up for this online training activity.

Firstly, Professor Yang Zhou, Chairman of the International Association for Excellence in Operations and President of Zhiyuan Group, shared the course topic of "Excellent Operations and Epidemic Management Practice" with everyone. The course was shared from four perspectives.

1. The impact of the epidemic on enterprises.

2. How to respond to the current situation from the perspective of excellent operations.

3. How to build a system for excellent operation.

4. Share lean improvement cases in mask factories.

Through statistical data, this article briefly elaborates on the impact of the epidemic on enterprises in terms of human and financial aspects, and then introduces the basic logic of cost, turnover, and leverage in enterprise operations. And explained to everyone that excellent operation is based on a full understanding of the value perspective of customers, winning customer loyalty by providing products and services that can continuously meet and exceed customer expectations compared to competitors, and achieving the goal of sustainable development of the organization. And it is mainly reflected in four aspects: quality (Q), cost (C), delivery time (D), and innovation (I). Take "fewer people", "flexibility", and "ecology" as the response strategies for excellent operations.

Subsequently, the second guest, Teacher Sun Yuying, shared the theme of "Lean Factory Planning and Internal Logistics Management" with everyone.

Teacher Sun starts by summarizing some of the symptoms we often encounter in our work, introducing the four benefits that reasonable planning and management can bring to us: improving operational efficiency, improving and enhancing corporate image, improving resource utilization, and adopting appropriate production and operation models.

During the sharing process, with the theme of lean factory planning path, we explained how to do a good job in factory planning and internal logistics management from four directions: planning input, layout and route, relevant cases, and internal logistics management.

Teacher Sun mentioned that lean manufacturing is the process of delivering products and services at the pace of customer needs. The process from raw materials to finished product delivery is a full process activity, and all activities and operational steps are flowing according to customer needs without pausing. The entire process is narrow and fast, and his measurement index is speed. This is lean, in short, the ability between holding an order with the left hand and realizing it with the right hand, The closer the two hands are, the stronger the ability, and the performance mode is in organizing the responsiveness and profitability of the enterprise.

The frequency of market changes should be considered simultaneously to determine the impact on the production line form. It is recommended to explore the potential from a management perspective and consider simple automation. When process capability management and maintenance capabilities are insufficient, it is not advisable to invest too much in fully automated processes.

Answer: The cultivation of versatile workers is a long-term and continuous process that cannot be achieved quickly after problems occur. There is a specific method to support the cultivation of versatile workers. Additionally, versatile workers are only a means in lean management and need to be combined with other methods to better realize their value.
