At this conference, Wang Hanlin, President of Suzhou Jintanglang Architectural Decoration Co., Ltd., gave an exclusive interview to NetEase.
NetEase: As the industry flagship, Jintanglang has been ranked first among China's top 100 architectural decoration enterprises for 13 consecutive years. How has the Golden Mantis practiced concentration, craftsmanship, and learning for so many years?
Wang Hanlin: Since its establishment for more than 20 years, Jintanglang has always been deeply engaged in the decoration industry chain. On the basis of building decoration, it has extended to curtain walls, landscapes, furniture, artworks, intelligence, culture, finance and other sectors. The company has the ability to provide full industry chain design and construction services, providing one-stop services of "one-time commission and comprehensive services" for owners. We firmly believe that "professional construction leads to success", so the development of Golden Mantis has never deviated from the main channel of architectural decoration. It is precisely because of this that Golden Mantis can continuously explore familiar fields, improve its professional level, forge its core competitiveness, and provide customers with higher quality services.
For engineering projects, Jintanglang always insists on not subcontracting or relying on others to ensure the quality of each project. In the specific implementation of the project, Jintanglang has its own unique node management system. At the same time, the company fully draws on the characteristics of internet big data, cloud data, platformization, and mobility to create a management cockpit with independent intellectual property rights, controlling the details of each project to ensure the quality and uniformity of the project. Jintanglang actively introduces and improves high-end technologies such as BIM and VR, and continues to increase investment in technology research and development, strengthen the company's technological leadership, and improve project quality and customer experience. NetEase: According to the third quarter report of Jintanglang, the company's revenue in the first three quarters was 14.883 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.02%; The net profit was 1.364 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.14%. Against the backdrop of a significant decline in revenue for other domestic decoration companies, how did Jintanglang maintain steady growth in revenue and significantly improve cash flow?
Wang Hanlin: Since last year, China has entered the "New Normal" of economic development. The construction decoration industry is affected by the decline in growth rate of the construction industry, which poses numerous difficulties and enormous challenges. As a leading enterprise in the domestic construction and decoration industry, Golden Mantis also bears enormous pressure. However, facing the complex external economic environment, the Golden Mantis quickly responded and accelerated the pace of transformation and upgrading, achieving preliminary results.
In terms of internal management, Jintanglang has carried out a series of reforms, which are result oriented and accelerate the process. The company integrates resources, improves efficiency, and achieves cost reduction and efficiency increase through the construction management platform, supply chain platform, human resource platform, and other major platforms. On the basis of consolidating the public decoration business, Jintanglang actively explores new markets around the industrial chain. In 2015, Jintanglang Home Decoration E-commerce Co., Ltd. was established and officially entered the field of home decoration. It has three brands: "Jintanglang Home", "Customized Hardbound", and "Pinzhai".
In response to the tight financial chain of some upstream and downstream enterprises, Jintanglang established a financial holding company in 2015, focusing on providing financial services to upstream and downstream enterprises through various means such as debt, equity, and mezzanine funds. Seeking dual customer satisfaction in engineering quality and financial services to enhance the company's overall competitiveness.
Netease: Under the national "the Belt and Road" policy, many enterprises have gone out. How is the overseas business layout of Jintanglang? What achievements have you achieved? How to layout the future overseas development strategy?
Wang Hanlin: In line with China's the Belt and Road strategy, Golden Mantis has also accelerated its overseas market layout and actively moved towards the international market, which is also a strong support and major opportunity for Golden Mantis's own development, transformation and upgrading.
In 2012, Golden Mantis acquired 70% equity of HBA, the world's top hotel interior design brand, officially marking the beginning of its "going global" strategy. The cooperation with HBA has led to a leapfrog development in the design strength of Golden Mantis, and HBA's rich overseas resources have also laid a solid foundation for Golden Mantis to enter the world.
At present, the business undertaken by the company is distributed in Southeast Asia, West Asia, Central America and other regions. In the future, Golden Mantis will continue to explore decoration fields such as large-scale public buildings, high-end fine decoration, and commercial offices overseas.
At the same time, Golden Mantis actively builds an overseas market operation team and has established Golden Mantis (International) Architectural Decoration Co., Ltd., Russian Golden Mantis Architectural Decoration Co., Ltd., Dubai Golden Mantis Architectural Decoration Co., Ltd., and Macau Golden Mantis Architectural Decoration Co., Ltd. to further accelerate overseas market expansion. In the future, the overseas market layout of Golden Mantis will focus on building the CIS sector centered around Russia, the Southeast Asian sector centered around Singapore, and the Middle East sector centered around Dubai.
